Terms and Conditions for the Purchase and Use of Gift Cards

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR PURCHASING AND USING GIFT CARDS

  • A gift card is a non-cash payment instrument that can be used to make payments on the website https://map.latvianroutes.com, operated by SIA VIVA Solutions (hereinafter referred to as LatvianRoutes).

  • Each gift card is assigned a unique registration number.

  • The gift card can only be used for purchasing routes and services offered by LatvianRoutes on https://map.latvianroutes.com.

I. Purchasing a Gift Card

  • A registered user (hereinafter referred to as the Buyer) can purchase a gift card on https://map.latvianroutes.com using the online payment system.
  • Once the payment is completed, the gift card is sent to the email address associated with the Buyer's profile.
  • The online-purchased gift card can be printed using any software that supports .pdf (Portable Document Format) files, such as the free Adobe Reader available at adobe.com.
  • The Buyer can select the gift card value through the available interface on https://map.latvianroutes.com.
  • The minimum value of a gift card is EUR 10, with increments of EUR 5.
  • The Buyer may transfer the gift card to third parties, ensuring that these recipients are informed about and comply with the terms and conditions of purchasing and using the gift card.
  • By purchasing a gift card, the Buyer acknowledges that they are familiar with LatvianRoutes' service descriptions and prices.
  • The Buyer understands that LatvianRoutes may refuse to provide certain services if the recipient does not meet the requirements, and in such cases, no refund will be issued to the Buyer or the gift card holder.

II. Terms of Use

Gift Card Validity Period

  • The gift card is valid for 24 (twenty-four) months from the date of purchase.
  • The expiration date is indicated on the gift card. The last valid day of the gift card is the date that falls 24 months after the purchase date, until 24:00 (Latvian time).
  • The validity period cannot be extended or renewed.

How to Use the Gift Card

  • The gift card can only be used by a registered user on https://map.latvianroutes.com for purchasing routes and LatvianRoutes services.
  • The gift card must be used within its validity period.
  • The gift card cannot be used for transactions after its expiration date.
  • The gift card cannot be exchanged for cash, either during its validity period or after it expires.
  • The gift card can be used for multiple purchases, as long as the total amount does not exceed the card’s value.
  • The gift card can be used together with other online payment methods available on https://map.latvianroutes.com.
  • There is no minimum purchase amount required.

Lost, Damaged, or Counterfeit Gift Cards

  • Lost gift cards will not be replaced.
  • LatvianRoutes reserves the right to verify gift cards and confiscate any counterfeit cards.
  • Copying, reproducing, or reselling gift cards in any way is strictly prohibited.
  • The Buyer and gift card holder are responsible for safeguarding the card details to prevent unauthorized use by third parties.

III. Right of Withdrawal

  • The Buyer is not entitled to cancel the gift card purchase or receive a refund, except in specific cases outlined in these terms.
  • If the Buyer is a natural person, they may withdraw from the gift card purchase agreement by notifying LatvianRoutes in writing within 48 (forty-eight) hours of purchase.
  • The withdrawal notice must be:
  • Sent to info@latvianroutes.com
  • Submitted from the email address registered on https://map.latvianroutes.com.
  • The withdrawal notice is considered received on the day it is sent if it is a business day; otherwise, it is considered received on the next business day.
  • Upon receiving a valid withdrawal request, LatvianRoutes will cancel the respective gift card, and the Buyer must destroy the gift card upon receiving the refunded amount.
  • The right of withdrawal does not apply if the gift card has already been used for transactions.
  • LatvianRoutes will process the refund within 48 (forty-eight) hours from receiving the withdrawal notice.
  • The right of withdrawal applies only to the Buyer, and any refund will be issued only to the Buyer, not to any other gift card holder.

IV. Data Protection and Anti-Money Laundering Compliance

  • Before issuing a gift card, LatvianRoutes has the right to perform customer identification and verification procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements. This may include requesting additional data or information from the Buyer or gift card holder.
  • LatvianRoutes may refuse to issue a gift card or conduct transactions if identification is not possible or if there is suspicion of money laundering or other illegal activities.
  • LatvianRoutes is not responsible for incorrect or incomplete data submitted by the Buyer.
  • Data related to issued gift cards, balances, and transactions are recorded in LatvianRoutes’ electronic system.
  • By purchasing a gift card, the Buyer consents to the processing of their data for the execution of this transaction.

By purchasing a LatvianRoutes Gift Card, the Buyer confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to the terms and conditions of purchasing and using gift cards.
